Hoy quiero hablaros de Picnik. Imagino que muchos lo conoceréis pero para todos los que no, aquí viene dedicado un post sobre retoque fotográfico. Antes usaba photoshop, pero soy un poco torpe y entonces descubrí este programa gracias a Ishtar Olivera. Es sencillísimo de usar y tiene un montón de aplicaciones gratuitas.

Today I want to tell you about Picnik. I guess many of you already know it, but for all the others who don't, here it comes a post about photo edition speacilly for you. Before Picnik I used Photoshop, but I am not very good at using it, so I discovered Picnik in Ishtar's blog. It is absolutely easy to use and it has so many free effects.

Lo único que tienes que hacer es cargar una foto y empezar a retocar. Tiene funciones básicas como exposición- con la opción de hacerla automática- y luego otras funciones de efectos que son muy chulas.A mí me encanta el efecto años 60, sepia, viñeta, proceso cruzado, refuerzo....Simplemente dale al botón y tu foto cambiará. Si quieres luego puedes ponerle un marco tipo polaroid, o escribir algo como yo hago más abajo.... Y si no te gusta el efecto simplemente desahazlo y sigue editando.

You only need some steps to edit your photo. First you have to upload a photo and start working. There are some basic edits such as exposure -with the auto-exposure option- and then some other effects, which I really love: 1960's, vignette, cross process, boost,... Just click on your favourite and the photo will change. Then you can also add a polaroid frame, write something... And if you don't like the result, just click on the Undo button and continue editing.

A mí me gusta probar y para enseñaros un poco cómo quedan las fotos he cogido una de mis fotos favoritas...con mi mami! Mi mami, tan buena, tan luchadora, tan mamá y que siempre tiene las palabras dulces, el abrazo o la comida que más me gusta cuando lo necesito...¡Me encanta mirar esta foto!Tiene un no sé qué, que la hace muy especial. Estamos en Portugal en casa de mis abuelos, ¡qué recuedos!

I like trying and to show you how the photos change, I'll use one of my favourite photos...with my mum! My mum, so nice, a born fighter, so mummy, who always has the sweetest words, the perfect hug or my favourite meal when I need it. I love looking at this photo. It has something, which mades it so special! We are in Portugal in my grandparents' house. Such memories!

Después probé con algunos efectos:

El Sepia, que hace que parezca antigua. Personalmente me gusta más que B&W (blanco y negro).

El efecto Holga, con un poco de ruido (los granitos de las fotos).

Uno de mis favoritos, el Años 60 al 40 %, que da mucha calidez a la foto.

Y por último hice un enfoque para que la foto fuera más nítida (en las funciones básicas) y después en efectos le puse un efecto de Refuerzo al 15%.

Then I tried some effects:

Sepia, which makes the photo look older. I like it more than B&W effect.

Holga effect, adding a bit of grain to the photo.

One of my favourites, the 1960's effect to the 40%, which gives a warmer temperature to the photo.

And finally, I used the sharpen button because it was a bit fuzzy (in the basic edits) and then I clicked on Boost effect to 15%.

Así que ya no hay excusa para no tener foto preciosas. Con este programa disfrutarás retocando tus fotos, pero ¡cuidado, que engancha!

So, there is no excuse for having great photos. With this easy-to use-program, you will enjoy editing your photos, but be careful because after starting it gets really difficult to stop!
